Wheat Country
A few captures while driving through northern Walla Walla County in Washington state.
All captured with Canon 7D + EF-S 10-22mm; post-production in Adobe Lightroom 4.

Farming the Wind
A few shots of the Stateline windmill farm located on the western edge of the Walla Walla Valley in southeastern Washington.
The size of these windmills can be deceiving until you’re close up – each stands about 160 feet tall with blades the length of a Boeing 747 wing.
I really like the contrast of the light brown fields against the blue sky, as well as the random poses of the windmills themselves.
Single exposures captured on 07/05/10 with Canon 400D + EF28-135mm; top image was at 28mm focal length, 1/160 sec at f/8.0; middle at 60mm focal length, 1/125 sec at f/5.6, and bottom at 135mm focal length, 1/160 sec at f/6.3 (all at ISO 100).
Nowhere Road
One of my favorite landscape photographs, captured on the outskirts of Walla Walla looking east toward the Blue Mountains.
This panoramic consisted of four separate frames merged together and cropped down using Photoshop CS5. Final processing was done in Lightroom 3.
I love the way the sky and fields turned out in this image.
